What’s the breakdown
- $25.5 billion → Roads.
- $15.3 billion → Railways — new lines, station rebuilds, signalling, rolling-stock depots.
- $227 million → Bus infrastructure — priority lanes, interchanges, stop upgrades.
- $288 million → Active transport — bikeways, green bridges, shared-path gaps.
- $262 million → Maritime — boat ramps, ferry wharves, dredging, aids to navigation.
- $134 million → Multimodal & other — park-and-rides, transport tech, intermodal hubs.
Why you should care
These dollars decide which lanes, bridges and rail lines get built first. They shape traffic flow, house prices, even weekend commutes.
Scope—Ipswich only
Everything inside—or feeding into—the Ipswich LGA.
- Springfield in the east ➜ Grandchester in the west.
- Roads: Warrego, Cunningham, Centenary, Ipswich Mwy plus major feeders.
- Rail: the Ipswich ↔ Springfield line business case.
What’s not here
No council-only works. No federal projects without state dollars.
If it’s missing, QTRIP hasn’t funded it yet—or it’s still hush-hush.
Data is straight from the 2025-26 QTRIP release, current June 2025.
Let’s dive in.
