Willowbank Raceway is Ipswich’s biggest crowd site, but it’s a permit-based major-event precinct, not a click-to-book venue, so it sits in the sidebar rather than the ranking. Our list only ranks spaces you can directly hire via a live venue page or council listing.

How these rates were set
- Day equals 9 hours. Hourly is day ÷ 9 when only a day rate exists. Day is hourly × 9 when only an hourly exists
- Published first. We use council or venue fees when available. Otherwise we use comparable venues and round to clean figures
- Precinct vs room. Stadiums and major precincts have higher bases due to staffing, cleaning, field protection, traffic and compliance
- Parks baseline. Where no fee is listed for ovals or amphitheatres we apply the ICC “Other Community Facilities — Commercial daily rate” as a conservative proxy
